My father, Cliff Dudley, founded New Leaf Press, Inc. in 1975. After serving as sales manager at Moody Publishing in the late 1960s and co-founding Creation House in 1971, he decided it was time to strike out on his own. My father had a very strong belief in the power of the printed page to move people toward Christ. The mission statement of New Leaf Press has always been, “To Bring the Lost to Christ, and Balance to the Body of Christ.” In 2005 we celebrated our 30th anniversary as a company - and I am proud to say that we remain true to my father's vision of evangelizing God's message of hope and love to the world through the book publishing industry.

In 1988 I took over as president of New Leaf Press. Although Dad went to be with the Lord in 1992, the work he started continues as our company grows and is blessed with new opportunities each season. 

During the last twelve years our company has experienced unprecedented growth, and I have tried to stay true to my father's wishes and the company's mission statement. New Leaf Press maintains a strong reputation within the industry for publishing award-winning inspirational books, and relevant cutting-edge books that address important cultural issues. And we remain committed to offering both value and the very best in quality products and service to our customers.

In 1996, New Leaf Press bought Master Books, which was also established in 1975 by two icons of the Christian book industry. Dr. Henry Morris and Tim LaHaye founded what has come to be known as the only publishing house in the world that publishes creation-based material exclusively. Since coming under the New Leaf Press corporate umbrella, Master Books has had a 300% growth over its best previous year and continues to offer important evolution-free supplemental homeschool products. I feel that my father would be very pleased with the addition of Master Books to our company, and its mission of promoting creationism through books and multimedia products for all ages.

Together, New Leaf Press and Master Books publish around 35 titles a year. And in 2003, a third imprint, Balfour Books,  was launched to publish books on the importance of Israel and the Middle East, as well their relevance to America. Topics of radical islam, interfaith issues, Zionism, and prophecy are examples of why this new imprint is attracting projects by some of the most powerful and influential Jewish and Christian writers of our time. And Balfour Books continues the New Leaf Press tradition of unique, niche products that successfully stand out in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

Many people continue to ask me the secret to our growth and, in turn, what accounts for our success over the past 30 years. My answer has always been the same: the prayers of a mother. She has remained a very strong and guiding force in the ministry of New Leaf Publishing Group. Thanks Mom!
